The Preparatory Course for Cambridge B2 First (FCE) aims to strengthen learners’ upper‑intermediate English abilities in alignment with the CEFR B2 level. This programme supports school‑aged learners in developing the confidence and competence needed to use English effectively in both academic settings and everyday interactions. Throughout the course, learners engage with themes and tasks suited to their age group while building essential skills in reading, writing, listening, speaking, and the accurate use of grammar and vocabulary. In addition, they learn targeted strategies to perform successfully in every component of the B2 First for Schools examination.

Upon completing the course, learners will demonstrate English proficiency consistent with CEFR Level B2 across all core skill areas. They will be able to interpret complex information from spoken and written sources, construct clear and coherent written responses tailored to various purposes, and express themselves with confidence and appropriate detail in spoken English. Learners will also apply effective exam strategies such as analysing task requirements and managing time across the exam sections. Importantly, achievement in the Cambridge B2 First exam provides a Cambridge English Scale score that aligns with an equivalent IELTS band score, typically in the 5.5–6.5 range, which many institutions accept as meeting university English admission requirements.
