Grading Scale: The grades range from 9 to 1, with 9 being the highest grade and 1 being the lowest.

This system replaces the previous A* to G grading scale.

  1. Top Grades: A grade 9 is higher than the old A* grade, designed to recognize the very top-performing students
  2. Middle Grades: Grades 4 and 5 are considered equivalent to the old grade C, which is often the minimum requirement for further education and employment
  3. Lower Grades: Grades 1 to 3 cover the lower end of the spectrum, with grade 1 being the lowest passing grade
