OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management
The objective of the OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management qualification is to develop learners’ management knowledge and skills within the tourism and hospitality industry. Learners will critically evaluate contemporary knowledge and theories and use these to propose solutions to complex management problems. Successful completion of the qualification will equip learners with the specialist skills and knowledge they need to plan and manage their work areas, to make effective decisions, and to adapt effectively to the needs of a range of tourism and hospitality organisations.
The content of the qualification is focused on strategic marketing, tourism policy and planning, organisational behaviour and performance, technology in the tourism and hospitality industry, tourism and international development as well as the researching tourism and hospitality management.
Age: 18 years old and above
Language: Possess one of the following requirements
- C6 pass in English at GCE ‘O’ Levels or
- Achieve a minimum band of 5.5 in IELTS or equivalent or
- Letter from College/University clearly stating the Medium of Instruction of the highest qualification to be English
- Pass the English Entrance Test conducted by Birmingham Academy.
Academic:
- Relevant NQF/QCF/RQF Level 5 Diploma or equivalent or
- Birmingham Academy’s Advanced Diploma or
- Diplomas from any public polytechnics or
- Relevant Advanced/Higher Diplomas from other recognised local/overseas polytechnics or other PEIs
- Mature candidates (over 30 years old) with 8 years of relevant experience

Course assignment
Complete course and all modules must obtain a ‘Pass’ And results approved by EQA And meet minimum attendance requirement as below:
For Full-Time: at least 90% attendance (absence with valid reason)

- Photocopy of Passport
- Two recent passport sized photographs (with white background)
- One certified true copy of highest educational certificate
- One certified true copy of highest educational results transcript
where Student Pass application is to be applied, the following documents must be provided.
- One certified true copy of birth certificate
- Bank Statements/Fixed Deposit for visa required nationals
- Photocopy of parents’ passport (If below 18 years old)
- Certified true copy of working testimonials stating the position held and salary per month. (If unemployed, provide parents’ or spouse’s working testimonials)
