The objectives of the Higher Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management programme aims to develop students with a comprehensive set of operational and management skills to remain competent in the growing hospitality and tourism industry.
The aims of this syllabus are to enable learners to integrate the theories, Development of the Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Sustainability in Tourism and Hospitality, Business Environment for Tourism and Hospitality, Events Management, Marketing Management for Tourism and Hospitality, Tourism and Hospitality Customer Relationship Management in their project assignment.
1) Age: 17 and above
2) Language: At least a pass (defined as C6 and above) at GCE O-Level English or Pass in placement test or equivalent
3) Academic Level: Have completed Birmingham Academy’s Advanced Diploma or local /overseas polytechnics or other PEIs Advanced Diploma or Equivalent

Blended learning: Lectures, tutorial, discussion strategies, teamwork（50%-Face to Face,50%-Asynchronous Online)
End-of-module written examination and project assignment
Complete course and all modules must obtain at least 50%
And Meet Minimum Attendance Requirement for
– Foreign Student – At least 90% attendance (absence with valid reason)
– Local Student – At least 75% attendance (absence with valid reason)

- Photocopy of Passport
- Two recent passport sized photographs (with white background)
- One certified true copy of highest educational certificate
- One certified true copy of highest educational results transcript
where Student Pass application is to be applied, the following documents must be provided.
- One certified true copy of birth certificate
- Bank Statements/Fixed Deposit for visa required nationals
- Photocopy of parents’ passport (If below 18 years old)
- Certified true copy of working testimonials stating the position held and salary per month. (If unemployed, provide parents’ or spouse’s working testimonials)
Please note that Notarised Translations are required if the documents are not in English.
