Diploma in AI Film Production
To equip students with the practical knowledge, creative skills and applied competencies required to plan, produce, manage and promote AI-assisted film and digital media projects. Students will develop skills in AI film directing, animation, sound design, project management, business development and marketing, and apply generative AI and related digital tools across the production workflow. Through project-based learning and practical assessments, the course prepares graduates for entry-level employment, freelance and entrepreneurial opportunities within AI-enabled film production, creative media, digital content, advertising and entertainment.
1) Age: 16 years old
2) Academic Level:
- At least C6 for any 3 GCE O Level subjects or
- completion of Birmingham’s Certificate in Foundation Studies or equivalent, or
- Mature candidates (over 30 years old) with 8 years of relevant experience (at least must have completed secondary education or its equivalent Candidates who do not meet this requirement will be considered on a case-by-case basis.)
3) Language:
- At least C6 in GCE O Level English and equivalent, or
- IELTS 5.5 or Equivalent, or
- Pass in Birmingham’s Certificate in English Language or
- Pass in Birmingham’s Placement test
No intake in 2026
Blended learning (50% face to face and 50% asynchronous e-learning)
End-of-term written and/or assignment/projects examination
Complete course and all modules must obtained at least 50%
And Meet Minimum Attendance Requirement for
– Foreign Student – At least 90% attendance (absence with valid reason)
– Local Student – At least 75% attendance (absence with valid reason)

- Two recent passport sized photographs (with white background)
- One certified true copy of highest educational certificate
- One certified true copy of highest educational results transcript
where Student Pass application is to be applied, the following documents must be provided.
- One certified true copy of birth certificate
- Bank Statements/Fixed Deposit for visa required nationals
- Photocopy of parents’ passport (If below 18 years old)
- Certified true copy of working testimonials stating the position held and salary per month. (If unemployed, provide parents’ or spouse’s working testimonials)
Please note that Notarised Translations are required if the documents are not in English.
