Crime Prevention Advisory Stay Scam-Safe

Students are reminded to avoid criminal activities such as shop theft, molestation, forgery, unlicensed moneylending involvement, and misuse of bank accounts or SIM cards. These offences carry severe penalties including fines, imprisonment, and caning.

Be alert to scams targeting students. Never share banking details or OTPs, transfer money on phone instructions, or install unofficial apps. Always verify requests with official sources or the ScamShield helpline (1799).

Do not become a money mule or allow others to use your accounts or SIM cards, as this is a serious offence under Singapore law.

Stay vigilant, protect your personal belongings and information, and report suspicious activity immediately to the authorities.

Testimonials

"When I first came to Birmingham Academy, I do not have a great impression as the academy wasn't very big. I was thinking of transferring school but decided to try for a week. It was amazing. The lecturers are very professional and experience. I learnt a lot from them. The student welfare was delighted and it makes me really at ease in a foreign country. What surprise me is that when I try to check the value of the Diploma awarded by Birmingham Academy by applying for a job, I was shortlisted for the job. I'm happy I got a proper and recognised academy to study. I will be more than willing to recommend an international student to study here."

Chal Bau

Diploma in Business Management

Placed to Catholic High School, Secondary 1: "I studied at Birmingham Academy to prepare for the SPERS-SEC exam in 2025. I really enjoyed my lessons there. The teachers are very kind and patient. When I did not understand something, they explained it to me slowly and clearly. They also gave me a lot of practice, which helped me feel more confident. Before the exam, I was a bit nervous, but my teachers encouraged me and told me to believe in myself. Because of their help, I passed the SPERS-SEC exam and got admission to Catholic High School in 2026. I was very happy and proud. Thank you, Birmingham Academy, for helping me achieve my goal. I will always remember my time there."
